Halloween is a great excuse to have a party! To start with you want to choose a theme for your party. Most Halloween parties have there guest wearing costumes but if you feel your guest would rather not dress up that is ok too.
It is always more fun to dress up for a party but choosing a theme can make the party special. Having a theme can make your party original and some examples are if everybody comes dress like famous gangsters or maybe everyone at the party is required to wear something from the fifties. This can make the part exciting and having a theme can make it easier for everyone to choose a costume. Make sure that you choose something that is not too difficult to find a costume.
After the theme has been chosen then it is time to start to think about decorations. You can shop for decorations at discount stores, retail store, or themed Halloween store, or some people like to be creative and make there own. The best decoration that you can do is to mix a little of both what you can buy and embellish.
If you have the room a area that you make a dance area and a strobe light is a great way to add extra excitement to the party. It is always better to be more creative with your decoration because it will make for a more interesting party.
Next on to the guest list. When planning your guest list you want to have a mix of people that will intermingle and have a good time.
Also make sure that if you are serving alcohol that you let your guest know about it so that they can arrange safe transportation home from the party.
After you have decided what type of food and drink you will serve at your party it is always best to make sure that you have enough so that you can keep all your guest satisfied throughout the evening.
Make sure that you choose the right Halloween music so that your guest will enjoy the evening. It is a good idea to pre plan what music will be played so that as the evening goes on this will be something you will not have to worry about.
Let your imagination go wild because at a Halloween party anything goes.
